How Snowflake’s scores are calculated

The full audit trail, recomputed from the verdict data at build time through the same code that produced the leaderboard: verdict × quality × story weight per cell, cells sum to dimension scores, dimensions blend into the PA Score. Every number on the product page is reproducible from this page alone; for why the formula looks like this, see the methodology.

verdict factors: full ×1.0 · partial ×0.6 · disputed ×0.3 · none ×0.0 · n/a excluded from both sides · cell points = weight × quality × factor · cell max = weight × 10

PA Score43/100

Agent-ready 57.6 × 0.30 = 17.28

API quality 42.6 × 0.20 = 8.52

Openness 32.4 × 0.20 = 6.48

Built-in AI 41.8 × 0.15 = 6.27

Automation 31.5 × 0.15 = 4.72

(17.28 + 8.52 + 6.48 + 6.27 + 4.72) ÷ (0.30 + 0.20 + 0.20 + 0.15 + 0.15) = 43.27 ÷ 1.00 = 43.3

Scores are stored to 1 decimal; the product page’s pills round to whole numbers for display. Each dimension below shows the stories, verdicts, and cited evidence behind its number.

  • [claimed-docs] https://docs.snowflake.com/en/user-guide/data-load-snowpipe-introSnowpipe enables loading data from files as soon as they're available in a stage. This means you can load data from files in micro-batches, making it available to users within minutes, rather than manually executing COPY statements on a schedule
  • [claimed-docs] https://docs.snowflake.com/en/user-guide/streams-introA stream object records data manipulation language (DML) changes made to tables, including inserts (including COPY INTO), updates, and deletes, as well as metadata about each change, so that actions can be taken using the changed data.
  • [claimed-docs] https://docs.snowflake.com/en/developer-guide/snowflake-rest-api/snowflake-rest-apiSnowflake REST APIs for resource management provide a set of endpoints that lets users programmatically interact with and control various resources within the Snowflake Data Cloud.
  • [claimed-docs] https://docs.snowflake.com/en/developer-guide/sql-api/indexThe Snowflake SQL API is a REST API that you can use to access and update data in a Snowflake database.
  • [claimed-docs] https://docs.snowflake.com/en/developer-guide/snowpark/llms.txtSnowpark API for Python, Java, and Scala — process data at scale inside Snowflake.
  • [claimed-docs] https://docs.snowflake.com/en/user-guide/snowflake-cortex/cortex-agents-mcpThe Snowflake-managed MCP server lets AI agents securely retrieve data from Snowflake accounts without needing to deploy separate infrastructure.
  • [claimed-docs] https://docs.snowflake.com/en/user-guide/snowflake-cortex/cortex-agents-mcpYou can configure the MCP server to serve Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, and Cortex Agents as tools, along with custom tools and SQL executions
